Casa Pilatos is a hidden gem that the city offers. This late 15th century noble palace is essential to understand the “Seville of the Golden Century”, which was known as the “New Rome”. Through this palace and its occupants, came the renaissance and the humanist philosophy to Seville. This blends perfectly with the Mudejar architecture and ceramics that are still preserved in this typical Sevillian noble residence.

This noble residence from the end of the 15th century was built under the orders of Catalina de Rivera, a noblewoman very close to the Catholic Monarchs. It was not until the 16th century that this palace reached its greatest splendour. One of its most important tenants was Fadrique Enríquez de Rivera, who brought the Italian Renaissance spirit to Seville, which blends the Mudejar and Gothic architecture of the palace perfectly.
