Private tour

Do you ever imagine going back in time and living like the nobles and kings in their palaces? Visiting the Palace of Dueñas you will be able to stop imagining and see it with your own eyes. This medieval palace covered in Renaissance decorations belongs to the Alba family, one of the most influential noble families in Spain and always very close to the crown, even called by some historians the Shadow Monarchy.
One of the last permanent tenants of the Palace was the famous Duchess of Alba, born in Madrid, but a lover of Andalusia who reflected her passion for our land and its customs in every corner of this Palace. After the death of Doña Cayetana in 2014, the doors of the marvellous residence were opened to the public.
An icon of her time, the Duchess of Alba, maintained friendships with influential figures such as Grace Kelly, Jackie Onassis, Salvador Dalí and Picasso, who asked the Duchess to pose for one of his paintings.
On our visit we will tour the gardens and the ground floor of the Palace, whose walls are covered with the most spectacular tapestries and paintings by artists such as José de Rivera or Lucas Giordano. The Palace chapel where the famous cartographer Américo Vespucci got married, the stables that still conserve the remains of an ancient Muslim construction and one of the favourite places of the Empress of France, Eugénie de Montijo when she used to visit the city…. Discover all the secrets and stories that this Palace has to offer with your private tour and visit Andalusia without leaving Seville!
The entrance fee to the Palace is 12€. Monday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
